DR. GEORGE BALDERSTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

 

 

The Montrose physicians of the Curecanti Medical Society are once again accepting applications for a scholarship award for training in the health sciences field.  The purpose of the award is to honor Dr. George Balderston, a member of the medical society and a physician in Montrose for over 25 years.

Applicants of any age wishing to pursue training in a health related field are eligible to apply.  Preference will be given to applicants from the Montrose area who intend to return to the community to utilize their talents.  This scholarship is open to any high school graduate, nurse, medical student, therapist, hospital employee, or anyone anticipating health sciences training.

Applications will be taken through July 31, and the recipient will be announced on August 20, the anniversary of Dr. Balderston’s death.  The selection of the winner will be made by the Scholarship Committee of the Curecanti Medical Society.
