Montrose Memorial Hospital in Montrose, Colorado was the first hospital in the state to acquire the da Vinci Si Surgical System. ®™
The da Vinci Si System retains and builds upon the core technology at the heart of the existing da Vinci® and da Vinci® S™ Systems. This includes advanced 3D HD visualization; EndoWrist® instrumentation, providing da Vinci surgeons with natural dexterity and range of motion far greater than even the human hand; and Intuitive® motion technology, which replicates the operative experience and control of open surgery by preserving natural eye-hand-instrument alignment and intuitive instrument control. Together, these technological advancements provide MMH surgeons with unparalleled precision, dexterity and control that enable a minimally invasive approach for many complex surgical procedures.
"One of the biggest benefits of the surgical robot is the enhanced visualization and precision of motion," said Dr. K. Michael Jay, surgeon at Montrose Memorial Hospital. "It's 3D imaging and ultra high definition. It's really enhances the safety of the surgery process."
